Science Videos Make Learning Fun and Interesting

Kids inherently have an immense curiosity to know about the natural world around them. As parents, we hear questions like ‘Why does the moon change?’, ‘Why can’t I see the germs?’, ‘How far is the Sun?’, and hundreds of similar questions everyday that only children can ask. While sometimes it can be difficult to answer these in a way small children can understand, it is very important to encourage them to ask questions and to be curious. Children are most receptive when they are curious about something and that is the best opportunity to teach them.

When they ask about volcanoes, you can show them a 10 minute video on volcanic eruptions and all the science behind it. Or, when they ask, where the Earth came from, you can actually play a video showing a simulation of the solar system forming from a giant cloud of stellar dust. Now, compare that to verbal answers you would have heard as a kid. Read the rest of this entry »

Inside school these kids are hands-on and tactile. They love to experiment and tinker. They learn about flight by making paper aeroplanes and flying them through their classrooms. They’ll adjust the nose, tail and wings to make it fly longer. Read the rest of this entry »
